ONLINE CLASSES

My online classes are geared towards those at a beginner to intermediate level. All levels and bodies are welcome. 


All online classes are 75 minutes long, hosted via zoom and the recording will be available for at least 4 days. Class can be booked through the link below or via DM/email and e-transfer. Class Pass options are available and can be viewed through the link below. A waiver and Par-Q will need to be signed.

DANCER'S STRETCH & STRENGTHEN

Work through a series of exercises and techniques to increase your flexibility and overall range of motion. The class includes a warm up, a diaphragmatic breathing exercise, dynamic and static stretches, and nerve glides. Dancer's Stretch & Strengthen classes are suitable for those new to flexibility as well as those working towards or on splits and back bends. These classes do not cover contortion based movement.

Dancer's Stretch & Strengthen Classes are $10 +GST for drop in or available with Class Passes.

Dancer's Stretch & Strengthen Workshops are $12.50 +GST for drop in or available with Class Passes.

DANCER'S STRETCH & STRENGTHEN - WHOLE BODY

This class will cover flexibility for the whole body with movement for pole and aerials in mind. This will include a focus on hip mobility, thoracic rotation and shoulder mobility. The stretches involved will be a mix of dynamic and static. Hip mobility will geared towards splits on an apparatus and making transitions more fluid.

DANCER'S STRETCH & STRENGTHEN - UPPER BACK & SHOULDERS

This class will focus on exercises to help with developing strong upper back and shoulders. The exercises will not only help with back bends and pole/aerial tricks but also with just having a strong and healthy back. This is the area the individuals most commonly need to work on a little bit more in order to achieve their back bend goals. The class will include exercises that work on the following:
-shoulder flexion & extension
-shoulder rotation
-side bending
-thoracic rotation

DANCER'S STRETCH & STRENGTHEN - ALL THE HIP THINGS

Our hip flexibility and mobility is important for a lot of what we do in every day life and extra important for anyone working towards splits and backbends. Not to mention a lot of moves we do in dance, pole and aerials. The exercises in the class will help you work towards some happy, healthy hips and any flexibility goals. We will finish class with a hip movement flow, going into various shapes while moving through our hip range of motion. This class will include exercises that work on the following:
-internal & external hip rotation
-hip extension
-hip flexion

DANCER'S STRETCH & STRENGTHEN - FRONT SPLITS

The exercises in this class will help you with your front splits progress and with a variety of moves and transitions in pole, aerials and dance. In this class we will use dynamic and static stretches along with nerve glides to prep our whole body for the front splits. Other shapes we may work on at the end of class include: Standing arabesque, kneeling arabesque, floor jade, and standing split. This class will include exercises that work on the following:
-internal & external hip rotation
-glute, hip flexor & leg strength
-hamstring & hip flexor flexibility

DANCER'S STRETCH & STRENGTHEN - MIDDLE SPLITS

The exercises in this class will help you with your middle splits progress and with a variety of moves and transitions in pole, aerials and dance. In this class we will use dynamic and static stretches as well as nerve glides to prep our whole body for the middle splits. Other shapes we may end class working on include: pancake, side tilt/pitch developpe, active wall straddle, kneeling side tilt, swim through. This class will include exercises that work on the following:
-internal & external hip rotation
-glute med aka side butt strength
-hamstring & adductor flexibility

DANCER'S STRETCH & STRENGTHEN - BACK BENDS

The exercises in this class will help you with your back bending and with a variety of moves and transitions in pole, aerials and dance. In this class we will use dynamic and static stretches as well as nerve glides to prep our whole body for back bending and end the class with Bridge. Other shapes we may end class working on include: kneeling back bend, back bend in a lunge, bound opposition, yogini/bow pose and puppy pose. This class will include exercises that work on the following:
-neck extension
-shoulder flexion and rotation
-thoracic rotation
-hip extension

DANCER'S STRETCH & STRENGTHEN WORKSHOP - A LITTLE SPLIT OF EVERYTHING

This is a stretching based workshop to work on movement that requires flexibility from both front splits and middle splits, along with a little back and shoulder shoulder flexibility. Essentially shapes that involve a little bit (split) of everything! This combination can be seen in dance movement as well as pole/aerial tricks (ex. jallegra/elbow jade, bird of paradise, compass, unicorn, broken split). For this class we will be working on integrating flexibility elements from our front and middle splits together, along with our back and shoulders. We will be finishing class with a little split work along with variations compass pose and a lying split. This class will include exercises that work on the following:
-hip rotation, flexion & abduction
-glute, hip flexor & leg strength
-shoulder rotation & side bending

Online Classes: Lessons

ONLINE POLE CLASSES

These classes will use a pole. They are suitable for all levels but are geared more towards the beginner to intermediate pole dancer.

Pole Classes are $12.50 +GST for drop in or available with Class Passes.

DANCE YOUR FEELINGS

The class choreography will be at a Beginner/Intermediate level but all levels are welcome to attend! We will be learning a short, choreographed piece to music. The piece will be about 1:30 in length depending on how the timing of the class goes. Within the class we also talk about using breath to assist our movement and touching on performance techniques. One of the goals of the class is to give you techniques to be able to make the choreography your own and advance your own style of dance.

POLE MOBILITY

This class will go through a variety of different movements to help you with your pole goals. This class will target particular pole elements and tricks. This class will include both on and off the pole exercises. You will need a pole for the on the pole portion of class. We will begin with a general warm up followed by warm up exercises to target areas we need for shouldermounts and leg holds. We will then move onto some mobility work and conditioning exercises for those moves and end with some stretching.

You do not have to be able to invert or shouldermount for this class.

DANCE YOUR CLIMB - SPIN TRICKS

This is an all levels class! Tricks will begin with variations suitable for beginners and if applicable more intermediate and advanced options will be given. We will learn a minimum of 3 tricks and then put them together in a combo at the end of class. We will learn the combo both by touching down between the tricks and by learning how to connect them without touching the ground in-between.
